Eat to Beat Stress
No I don’t mean stuff your face with junk food! Just as exercise and meditation can support our body when we are stressed, so can the food we eat. We often forget the food we eat can have a powerful effect on our overall health and wellbeing. On this workshop you will get hints and tips on:
- what and how to eat for optimal health
- what foods and nutrients can relieve stress and which make it worse
- how to balance blood sugar levels to boost your mood

Yoga for Better Sleep and Rest
“How did you sleep?” Does that question fill you with dread? Certain yoga poses can help bring about sounder and deeper sleep. On this evening workshop you will learn different breathing techniques and restorative yoga to help you have a good night’s rest.

Journey through the Chakras
We will explore different yoga postures to help tune and balance our seven main energy centres. There are seven main energy centres in the body and they can become blocked when we are stressed or hold onto negative emotions. Here we will learn which yoga postures to bring balance, release any blocks and allow energy to flow freely so we can connect to our self.

Beach Yoga Retreats
Friday 17 April to Monday 20 April 2020 –

Creating a break in our lives for ourselves is difficult to do – take this time for you to renew, reflect, recharge and refresh with a combination of yoga, fresh sea air, healthy eating and relaxation. There will be different yoga practice each day and the schedule will be adapted to your needs. You are welcome to join any session you want – you may choose to start your day with energising sunrise yoga, have fun trying face yoga, take your yoga practice deeper or learn how yoga can help you to relax and sleep better.
There will be plenty of time for you to explore the area and sunbathe if that is for you. You will leave feeling refreshed and renewed and lighter in body and mind. Allow yourself to switch off from your life for these few days and you won’t just be returning home at the end but returning to you!
The venue for our escape is the small village of Cabanas with many island beaches for us to practice our yoga. You will feel home away from home as each apartment we use has everything you need.
Delicious, homemade breakfasts and lunches will be served, all of them made with love and attention. There are lots of places for you to eat in the evening or you can choose to self-cater as there are shops nearby selling whatever you might need. On our last evening we will eat together at a local restaurant.
With the beach as your background, it will be a weekend to remember.

You will be staying in a twin room in a villa that has access to a pool, tennis courts and other facilities as well as being a few minutes from a good choice of reasonable priced bars and restaurants to enjoy in your evening free time. The price is reduced to £190 for bookings made before 18 December 2019. This includes all your yoga sessions, delicious vegetarian breakfasts and lunches and transfer from Faro airport and back again but it doesn’t include your flights insurance or expenditure.
Spaces for this yoga break are limited to eight people so let me know if you want me to reserve a place for you however please do not book your flights until I confirm your place has been reserved. I will require a deposit of £50 per person.
