Gratitude Challenge – Week 4

We are into our final week of our Gratitude Challenge with a bonus extra one as the last day of November is next week. That’s your day to look over your gratitude list or perhaps think about any of the challenges that you want to keep going with. I’d welcome your feedback on how this challenge made you feel.

Day 23: Give thanks for your life

Write a note of anyone or anything that has helped make you the person you are today and directly or indirectly brought you to where you are in life today.

Day 24: Give a gift

Think of someone in your life who has made you smile or feel good and send him or her a little token gift or flowers. It’ll make you happy knowing you’re able to make someone else smile.

Day 25: Call a friend

Have you lost touch or been too busy to chat to a friend? Give them a call and ask how they are.

Day 26: Meditate

Try to spend five minutes quietly reflecting on what you appreciate in your life. Just sit with your thoughts.

Day 27: Tip someone

If you are somewhere that takes tips, show your appreciation and give a few pennies extra or more if you can afford it. The hospitality industry has struggled badly this year with lockdown. Think about how lucky you are to be able to give a little bit to help out.

Day 28: Discover awe

Look at the world around you. Take a moment to really let it sink in. If you can, go outside. Observe the birds. Watch the leaves of a tree shake with the wind. Take in the scent of fresh air. No matter where you are, pause and soak up the moment. You can see. You are breathing. You are alive.

Day 29: Review your gratitude box

If you’ve done this as a family, then gather everyone together to have a look over the gratitude notes inside.

Day 30: Take it all in

If you’ve written a daily gratitude list, take a moment with yourself to look it over. Circle your favourite reflections. Consider how you can continue to show appreciation and gratitude in your daily life moving forward. November may be over but feeling grateful can be built into everyday living.
